Youth-Hosted Dinner

All are invited to a dinner hosted by our youth following the morning service. The main fare will be tacos; please sign-up on the bulletin board for an item to bring. It’s requested that you bring a dessert as well. The youth will do all the rest, from service to clean-up. Don’t miss this special time of fellowship!

5th Sunday Fellowship

The Bible readings for our 5th Sunday Fellowships this year will be in the book of Revelation. We kicked things off tonight with the first five chapters.

As usual, we started with a word of prayer then enjoyed a fellowship meal of hot dogs and fixin’s (every Sunday is different). With our tummies full, Each reader gave us an idea of special things to listen for in each chapter, or points they found particularly valuable. After the reading, we collectively created an outline and had a lively discussion of the material. As there were many questions about this exciting book, we stayed quite late discussing and learning God’s word.

Youth Card-Making Party

We gathered our paper, crayons, ink and rubber stamps in the Fellowship Hall tonight to craft a variety of cards for some very special people. After fueling up with pizza, youth of all ages joyfully labored through the evening creating dozens of beautiful and creative cards for many occasions (or just to share some love).

Adult Fellowship

Tonight we gathered at the warm and lovely home of Charles and Cheryl Carter. We enjoyed great food and even greater fellowship.

Christmas Fellowship Dinner

Most of our church family and several guests joined in warm Christmas fellowship right after this morning’s service. We are all feeling truly blessed by God, and are seriously into the Christmas spirit now.

Christmas Adult Fellowship

35 Hanoverians had a blessed Christmas Adult Fellowship at the Bailey farmhouse in King George. Fred and Judy Bailey graciously invited us to the welcoming rural setting where Cheryl Cater added her lovely decorative touch and Tim and Amber French provided an exquisite meal. We ate and felloshipped by the glow of candlelight.

Several, including Betsy Crookshank, were attired in period dress. Dave Lowe went so far as to bring along his Civil War-era sword to ensure our safety. Even those who were costumed in contemporary fashion, came in style—as you can see below.

Adult Fellowship

Tonight we enjoyed our Adult Fellowship at the home of Pat and Kim Emons. There we discovered Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, and vowed to make it part of our regular Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations.

Farewell Dinner for Don & Dot Vardsveen

Don and Dot are retiring to South Carolina; their church family will miss them dearly. Today, after the morning service we had a delightful dinner in their honor, celebrating the wonderful blessing they have been to all of us at Hanover.
