9:30 AM–11:30 AM

All children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade are welcome for four fun mornings of Bible teaching through activities, games, and all-round fun! Hanover Baptist is hosting Vacation Bible School in the format of “backyard Bible clubs” at the homes of two church families, one in King George and one in Colonial beach. Weather permitting, children will enjoy their activities in the fresh air and sunshine. Of course provisions have been made if the weather is uncooperative.

We are partnering with a missionary team from Calvary Baptist Church in Union City Tennessee. No one is friendlier than a group of Tennesseans! Your child or grandchild is certain to have a good time and come away with new understanding of Jesus Christ.

Please come. Tell your friends. It’s free!

Graduate Shower

Tonight we honored high school graduates Kirsten Lowe and Daniel Pearson, and college graduate Beth Anne Crookshank with the Word, ice cream sundaes and a present or two. Beth Anne couldn’t be with us, but she was certainly in our hearts.

Pastor Crookshank started the evening with a prayer and these words of wisdom for our graduates:

…that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other. Let your heart therefore be loyal to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day. (1 Kings 8:60–61—NKJV)

This was followed by a round of heart-felt prayers from those in attendance: prayers for wisdom, protection, and success as our graduates go on (or back) to college.

While our grads opened their presents, we enjoyed watching them and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters. Some of us may have had seconds on the ice cream, who knows?

Youth and Family Camp-out

This Friday and Saturday Hanover youth and families enjoyed a camp-out at Westmoreland State Park. Festivities included a campfire, outdoor cooking, games, and a ton of fun!

Church Breakfast

7:30 AM—Hanover teens served a delicious breakfast to church members hungry enough to go to church at 7:30. It was fun, tasty, and the teens demonstrated their willingness to serve others. Why don’t we do this every Sunday?

7:00 PM—A group of us went on the Night Before Christmas Hayride & Story at Caledon State Park in King George. The weather was freezing and the roller-coaster hayride was fast and furious, but the fellowship and singing kept us warm and toasty!
