Operation Chrismas Child
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with local churches worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Last year our church members provided needy children with over 200 shoe boxes and we aim to do at least 300 this year. Members may make cash donations up until Sunday, November 6th (or a little later, if you can catch up with Cheryl Carter). With these donations, we will buy plastic shoeboxes and goodies in bulk.
On Friday the 11th, we will gather in the fellowship hall at 6:00pm to decorate the boxes and enjoy some pizza. On Sunday the 13th, right after morning service, we'll all get together to pack our boxes. It is a wonderful time of fellowship for all ages—please join us. Food and drink will be provided. Of course, you are are welcome to pack your own shoe boxes.
