Tonight we honored high school graduates Kirsten Lowe and Daniel Pearson, and college graduate Beth Anne Crookshank with the Word, ice cream sundaes and a present or two. Beth Anne couldn’t be with us, but she was certainly in our hearts.

Pastor Crookshank started the evening with a prayer and these words of wisdom for our graduates:

…that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God; there is no other. Let your heart therefore be loyal to the LORD our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day. (1 Kings 8:60–61—NKJV)

This was followed by a round of heart-felt prayers from those in attendance: prayers for wisdom, protection, and success as our graduates go on (or back) to college.

While our grads opened their presents, we enjoyed watching them and fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters. Some of us may have had seconds on the ice cream, who knows?

5:00 PM—Tim & Amber French hosted a truly delicious gathering at the home of Don & Dot Vardsveen. Tim demonstrated his considerable culinary skills by preparing a scrumptious French meal of things I can’t even spell. Ambience provided by Edith Piaf.

The food was so delectable and abundant that Tim & Amber prepared another meal for us after church the next day.
