Take Home Points
- Just as the people of Israel, we have a great inheritance. (Ephesians 1, Romans 8, 1 Corinthians 15)
- The people of Israel had a written Word of God which they considered binding. Do you consider the written Word of God as binding upon you and your life of faith, practice and belief?
- Joshua was still serving at the age of 90.—What’s your excuse?
- God didn’t only task the leaders—He tasked everyone.
- Do not look at what you don’t have, look at what you do have from God.
- Go out and possess your inheritance—serve and obey faithfully. Your inheritance from the Lord includes:
- The fruit of the Spirit: love, joy and peace, and long-suffering—Know what it is to possess them and use them rightly.
- Being invited into His presence in prayer at any time—At all times pray without ceasing.
- The Word of God—Do you possess it? Do you know it?
