Outline—Judges 13:6–23

Samson’s parents were:

  1. People of prayer (vv. 6–23)
  2. People with a parental mission (vv. 9–14)
  3. People of thankfulness (vv. 15–18)
  4. People of piety (vv. 19–23)

Take Home Points

  • Be sure your parenting begins with God’s will for your child.
  • Scriptures say that some attend angels unaware. If you know Jesus Christ, He is with you now. Every day of your life, Jesus Christ is with you!
  • God will use us despite our imperfections.

  • Who was Jeptha?
  • What did he ask for?
  • What wisdom did he show in negotiations with the enemy?
  • Whad did he promise God?
  • What was his Legacy?

  • Sin does withold God’s blessings.
  • Blessings are received when we repent and put away sin.
  • Right must always operate on a higher plane; do right regardless the cost.
  • Are you God’s property?

    • Jesus’ servanthood is the answer to all the above.
